To help you navigate District (OUSD) and Oakland charter school enrollment, we have put together some resources.
Oakland Public Schools Enrollment Video
We put together a video that walks through the major steps of the Oakland public school enrollment process. School Applications for 2020-2021 School Year open November 4, 2019! We hope it’s helpful to you as you explore your options.
Step-by-Step through the Enrollment Process
Choosing the best Oakland public school for your child starts before school applications open and continues after. To help you make sense of it all, we put together this one-page overview. If you’re an Oakland parent or guardian (or student helping their parent/guardian), or you work with families who should have this information, please print and share, e-mail it, share on social media, and as always let us know if you have feedback to improve it. Oakland Public Schools Report Card Video
There is now a common way to measure quality for all public schools in California, both district and charter. In Oakland, it’s called the Oakland Public Schools Report Card. To help you understand the measure better, we have put together this video, available in multiple languages.
